Toooooo busy!

That last panel takes place in the future, because we are still getting ready! We have to go "bump in" in a few hours.
Anyone coming down?

| My Hot Water Bottle |
[Jun. 24th, 2009|06:40 am] |
I am pressed for time, so no time to work on a "worthwhile" comic. Also, I just wanted to draw my hot water bottle as an animate object.

My hot water bottle is quite fun to draw!

It's the day of one million comics! Well, like 28 pages of comics anyway.
Here's a new one from To The Moon which I haven't looked at in a while.

On the weekend I completed my ELEVENTH 24 hour comic (Click on the above image to see it, as well as the archive of most of my other 24 hour comics). It was part of Comikaze, which is an annual Australian 24 hour comic competition. There are prizes and stuff, but more importantly, it's a bunch of fun because one of the rules is that you post the pages up as you go and you can see everyone else's work. Smaller turn out than the last couple of years, but really solid entries.
Another rule, to prove you haven't cheated and pre-made your comic, is the inclusion of three randomly generated words. This can lead to a lot of stories having very similar elements or even plots, but I think I managed to slip mine in OK. My words were 'approving, promotion and motorway.' (Can you spot all three?)
This year I tried to push myself. I decided to do a comic that wasn't cute/easy to draw animals, and also set it in a city and put a whole bunch of detail. Anyway, I think it worked - I'm certainly happy with the result. Check it out and let me know what you think!
Also, keep your eyes on tiny_monster and sirive 's livejournals to see their entries, which I am sure will pop up soon. (Interestingly, they both started at the same time, so they have the same three words.)
Jess and I will be sending these to print really soon because Supanova Perth is right around the corner!
