| | The Sound of Young America | ] | OK, it seems that maybe the half page updates were maybe too often, or perhaps just not long enough for people to get into the rhythm of each update, so we've made a few changes to the website. I was originally worried about people having to scroll around too much, which is why I snipped the pages in half, to make them more screen shaped.
I think that maybe made people expect it to be a gag-a-day kinda comic strip, like with a punchline at the end of each page, but it's not, it's a story comic. A funny story comic, but not a punchline-y comic.
Now they are full pages! I think this makes each entry more fun to read, and hopefully you will too.
Here's a link to today's double length instalment, and starting next week we'll update a full page like this every Tuesday:

The entire archive has been updated too.
Let us know what you think!

| Nobody Cares But You |
[Oct. 29th, 2009|02:47 pm] |
Have you checked in on Glorious Bounty lately? I know it reads best in chunks, so I thought I'd point out that on Tuesday next week we'll be posting our 30th page already! Now is a great time to read the archive!

That's the most recent page.
And here's a reminder that the writer, Luke Milton's, newest show, Nobody Cares But You is in it's last week at the Blue Room.
tiny_monster and I saw it last week and we LOVED it.
I highly recommend checking the show out while you still can!
The show is five dark and funny monologues all performed by the super talented Arielle Gray and she is just amazing!
I know the idea of five monologues sounds like it might be issue-y or preachy or just plain boring, but this show is not that. It's so much fun and you will laugh a lot!
I'm not going to talk about the contents of the show, because I kind of think the less you know the better. Each of the premises are very different and some of the situations are definitely best "discovered" through the show rather than knowing exactly what is going to happen.
If you need further convincing here is a review of the show. It does talk about specifics though.
As I have mentioned earlier, the show includes art by me, as well as Jess and our friend Campbell Whyte.

Read the archive!
New Journal comic:

Jess and I went swimming with the sharks (and the rays and turtles and fish) at AQWA on Monday! Man, did I love it! You can see a "virtual tour" of the tank here (really just a 360 degree photo). There were several kinds of sharks, including grey nurses and others. It was really neat. The end.
Also, new Glorious Bounty!

AND if you live in Perth, Luke Milton (Writer and colourist of Glorious Bounty) has a new show that opened last night. It's five monologues performed by Arielle Gray. I haven't seen this show yet, though I do have some work in the show (I don't wanna drop any spoilers, so just go see it!) but I have seen a couple of Luke's shows before and enjoyed them all immensely.
It's called Nobody Cares But You and is showing at the Blue Room. (Go here for info on booking tickets!)
Here's a write up on it!
Please go check it out!

(The other show on the Blue Room main page is Cry Havoc written by Grant Watson, writer of Henry & Gil vs the Infinity Engine and will be opening soon. I'll post about it then, but you can always book tickets to that now too! )
