That's Three Shadows, Rabbi's Cat 2, Gus & His Gang and Bourbon Island 1730.

What were your favourites?

Note: I haven't read a few of the books on other people's lists, including Slow Storm and Alan's War. I started Alan's War last night and am loving it so far.

Wow, the only book on your list that I've read was Three Shadows, which I absolutely loved. I also really enjoyed Laika. First Second in generally has really impressed me.

I just read Bourbon Island 1730 last week. I usually shy away from anthro characters but this story was just so amazing!!

I've been curious about Three Shadows, must check it out.

Skim, Slow Storm and Bottomless Belly Button all stand out off the top of my head! What It Is is one that I haven't read through but one that I've seen a lot of and it looks fantastic.

I do my best reading on the bus, when I'm not travel sick.

Reading used to cause Jess to get motion sickness, she finds if she holds the book up at eye-level she's OK.

So basically this year was filled with First Second publications for you too? They are my new favorite [my first favorite? if you don't count Darkhorse when I was a kid and Predator ruled my comic buying list] publisher. At conventions they always have a 3 for 20 dollars sale and grabbing just about anything off the table is sure to make me happy.

I bought all 4 of those books too! And yes, they were all great.
